KualaLumpur

KL Journal Hotel

We stayed in a hotel downtown in a lively neighborhood full of modern skyscrapers and corner shops. This hotel was possibly the most luxurious of our whole trip (though our first hotel in bangkok was also very impressive).

Batu Caves

For our first day in KL we visited the Batu Caves. We had an uber driver who volunteered to wait at the caves for almost 2 hours while we were inside just so he could give us a ride back. There was a giant statue at the base and we had to climbn 272 stairs to reach the cave entrance. We didn't do the guided walking tour through the restricted parts of the cave, but the public areas were very beautiful and there were monkeys running loose inside.

Night Life

We spent one evening walking through the downtown area to a rooftop night club to get a nice view of the petronas twin towers. We also ate a lot of really good food (the Roti was a favorite) and we did a dining in the dark experience.
